Chartered as a Chapter of the

A GOOD SAM CHAPTER IS NEAR YOU!!!

Did you know there is a Texas Good Sam Chapter near you? Plano Good Sams of Plano, Texas (a chapter organized in April 1991) is always looking for new members.  Even though you are a member of The Good Sam Club, you may not know there are numerous local Chapters through out Texas you can belong to.  Plano Good Sams is one of those Chapters.  We have a lot of fun getting together each month and we would like to invite you to visit one of our campouts.  It is amazing how much fun you will have.  Check our Camping Schedule page for campout dates.

We would be delighted if you could join us this month for our campout, and hope you enjoy your visit well enough to come next month.

The goals of this chapter are to get RV owners together and promote good fellowship, camping, good camping practices, the use of recreational vehicles, the enjoyment of outdoors and participation in at least one community service project.

To inform you about the Plano Good Sams Chapter, we normally schedule campouts on the 4th Friday of each month – January through November – usually within 100 to 150 miles from Plano, TX.  Our campouts are for two days – arriving Friday and departing Sunday – however a lot of our members arrive as early as Wednesday. Each campout is hosted by one of our member couples who plan the theme (if any), meals, entertainment, crafts, ETC.  Usually we play games and visit in the evenings, do crafts Saturday (optional on your part), visit – work on RV’s – tour the area (the wives have Wal-Mart tours a lot) or loaf the rest of the time. On Sunday morning we have a brief devotional, then start departing for home sometime during the day.

Our membership is comprised mainly of married couples, one widowed, with ages from the 40’s — some still working and most retired.  The RV’s range from class A and class C motorhomes, 5th wheelers and travel trailers.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the campouts in the near future.  Contact us by the phone numbers below or E-Mail us if you have any questions and to make reservations for one of the campouts.
